Mini Laptops / Netbooks

The main benefit of a mini laptop or netbook is portability. They’re extremely lightweight and have smaller dimensions than a laptop. This makes them ideal for use on the go. Mini laptops or Netbooks are great for browsing the web and sending emails to friends and family.

When buying a mini laptop or netbook, it’s important to note that they do not come with a built-in CD/DVD drive. This means that any additional software you require will need to be downloaded. You can buy an external CD/DVD drive, which simply connects to an available USB port on your Mini laptop or netbook.

Laptops

Laptops are portable without compromising hard drive size, processing speed or screen size. Ever-improving technology means that laptops are becoming more and more powerful and able to rival desktop PCs in terms of their processing speeds and power.

Laptops come in a wide range of screen sizes and additional features, such as Blu-ray. If you want a laptop for multimedia entertainment, a larger screen is ideal. If you intend to be away from a power source for long periods of time, ensure that you choose a laptop with a long battery life.

When buying a laptop it’s important to note that it’s not easy to upgrade the hardware. Therefore it’s worth buying the best specifications you can afford in order to future-proof your purchase.

Desktop Computer

By purchasing a desktop pc you are investing in a high-performance computer. Often this means that it has a more powerful processor, and a bigger hard drive than a laptop or mini laptop, allowing you to store more files. This is especially useful if you have large numbers of pictures or a lot of music on your computer.

A desktop PC also allows you to choose a monitor size that suits your needs, from a smaller screen for everyday use, to larger screens ideal for multimedia entertainment.

A desktop PC is not portable, so will normally be located in one place in your home or office.

All-In-Ones

The main advantage of an all-in-one is space-saving, as all the components usually found in a desktop tower are built into the screen. All the ports and connections you would expect are also built into the screen, so none of the features of a desktop PC are compromised.

Some all-in-ones come with touch screen meaning that you can play music, scroll through pictures and perform many other functions simply by touching the screen.
